The Day the Rain came

from This is the Way by Richard Wroblewski

/

about

Started in August 2021 when the flood came to the Ahrtal.

lyrics

Once upon a rhine the sun that should have shined
Just picked up a very high degree and burned down your garden trees
The heat got very bad and dried all the lakes
but all of us just baked some cakes

The day after we finished baking
the sky decided to be shaking
all the clouds within a glance
over the land of arrogance

The day the rain came was a shock for all
the flood brought us a huge and massive water wall
taking all things down the flow
and with bitter thoughts the destruction still will grow

Decisions of the parliaments
no matter of which country
just failed and passed this safepoint entry
and now we all have to suffer
Once upon a rhine there was a tragedy
But we can make it a legacy
The Huge flood was a wake-up call
we have to change before we all fall
If we just could learn from our mistakes
and really do what it takes
to save our planet and ourselves
To heal our wounds and rebuild our shelves
To build up hope for our future Life
we have to build up a good mind in our hive
To honour those who didn’t survive
And keep their memories alive

there was a hope for all
but the bridge starts breaking and so we will fall
And we still have to suffer.
This is the end of the song
Did you learn something?
No? Then keep falling.
